Sea Spray Cottage: a fully-equipped vacation hideaway for two

This is the ideal getaway cottage for a couple seeking intimacy and seclusion on the Caribbean -- although a rollaway cot is available -- and just a couple of miles from Turtle Nest Inn. It's in the Beach Bay area, a tranquil residential corner of the island, and has earned many accolades at TripAdvisor.com from previous guests (see additional photos at this link). The Cottage is away from the "tourist strip", but only about eight miles from George Town and the airport -- at rates that are lower than a basic room in most Grand Cayman hotels. The self-contained, "one-bedroom" cottage is built on an "open space" concept, with virtually no interior walls seperating the bright and fully-equipped kitchen, the sleeping area with queen bed, living room and office. It's equipped with its own washer and dryer, central A/C, and a wireless high-speed network with Internet access free of charge that makes the Cottage's office nook an ideal working space. The exclusive "World Phone" service available at Turtle Nest Inn (see link at far left for info) is now available at the Cottage at the very same rates, and allows you unlimited long-distance calls to anywhere in the USA and Canada, day and night. And, if you have to stay connected but haven't brought along your laptop, the Cottage is now equipped with an optional desktop computer. Guests have full use of an "infinity" pool and oceanfront sundeck, shared with the seperate main house, but have their own private patio with a table and chairs for outdoor dining. The cottage is up on a bluff just a few feet from the sea and behind the oceanfront main house, and a sandy beach is only a half-mile down Sea Spray Drive. You'll have full guest privileges to all common facilities at the Inn including the beach, pool, washrooms, terrace, kayak, snorkelling equipment, etc. For those seeking to stay at Turtle Nest Inn when we're full, or who simply prefer their own, private house, we wholeheartedly recommend Sea Spray Cottage, and are proud to be handling all reservations. The Cottage is very well maintained, the rates are very attractive (the same as an ocean view apartment at the Inn), and a rental car is included.

Conditions

The office nook at the Cottage, with free wireless Internet access.

  • Unlike most island hotels and condos, there's no "service charge" at the Cottage

  • Full  housekeeping is done before you arrive, and after you depart

  • The government's Accommodations Tax of 10% must be added to all above rates

  • Rates are for the Cottage, lodging one or two guests -- rates are not "per person"

  • Rates for stays straddling two seasons are calculated according to the number of nights in each season

  • A non-refundable (but transferable) deposit of 25% (or minimum of one night charge) is required to book

  • Balances are due one month before arrival, or two months before arrival during high and Holiday seasons

  • Check-in time guaranteed no later than 4:00pm; check-out time is noon unless otherwise arranged

  • While booking your airfare, accommodations can be held for 24 hours with no commitment on your part

  • Package rates do not include any car insurance you may opt for, the local driving permit fee (US$7.50), or the government's "Environment Tax" of US$3, per day

  • Payment must be made by credit card, and we accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express
The Cottage and garages share an independent structure, just a few feet from the water's edge.
