The ‘new’ Turtle Farm was enjoyable, including the fresh water lagoon. The Botanic Park is beautiful despite Ivan’s wrath less than two years ago. I think our favorite time was spent just hanging out around the pool and snorkeling out right in front of the Inn; so much to see! Johanna loved Vitamine coming to visit almost every morning for breakfast. She met another girl during our visit and they had a great time playing with the animals, and building in the sand. “This has been a wonderful 25th anniversary trip. This was the cleanest room we have ever stayed in. All the technology performed flawlessly; the wireless internet, the TV/VCR/DVD, the “World Phone”. We followed your recommendations and were very pleased with all of them — the Reef Grill and the Thai restaurants were our favorite places to eat. Ocean Frontiers was very professional. Excellent dive sites, and even got my wife to dive! Snorkeling right outside the hotel was nice, and we especially enjoyed snorkeling off Cemetary Beach. “This has been the most relaxing vacation we have ever experienced. It was like being at home but without a care in the world. We drove all around the island and explored the different beaches and local neighborhoods. We spoke with the local fishermen and storekeepers and even found a small giftshop in East End where we purchased handmade local crafts. “In extended tours of duty in foreign lands, neither Tom nor I have ever been to the sea of tranquility on the moon. Now, after a month at Turtle Nest Inn, we realize that we need not dream further. We have resided in the worst B&B’s in the world, and in some of the most elegant hotels in the world, including the 5-star Grand Hotel in Japan owned by Madame Chiang Kai Shek in 1970 and the lush 5-star Grand in Seoul in 1989, which was fabulous. We prefer Turtle Nest Inn though, because we’ve come home to the 5-star tranquility of perfection in innkeeping. We found Turtle Nest Inn to be a 5-star hotel with a 6-star staff. From the moment we arrived in this sublime tropical setting, we started to shed layers of stress like layers from an onion peel. Throughout our stay, Marleine and Alain, our consummate hosts, were in the background insuring their excellent innkeeping techniques were 24-karat in all areas and our stay was the optimum in relaxation. Having snorkeled offshore while in the Caymans over the past 12 years, we found the snorkeling at Turtle Nest Inn to be the best. The frigate birds, and occasional pelicans, were a delight to watch in the late afternoon and there were always pleasant surprises such as the local fishermen casting their nets. The experience of living in Bodden Town allowed us to experience and enjoy life on Grand Cayman Island as we have never done in our past 12 years on Seven Mile Beach.
