“When returning to Turtle Nest inn for our seventh year, we harbored no doubts that our annual month-long respite would be anything but perfect. As world travelers who have lived for years at a time in some pretty exotic places, we’ve come to discern the unique from the mundane. Turtle Nest Inn is truly unique. The quaint décor, sea breezes, caring and attentive staff and million dollar views beckon us back each year. Having spent considerable time on nine other Caribbean islands over the last 30 years (and no, we’ve never taken a cruise ship), we see no reason to explore further for exquisite snorkeling, sublime relaxation in a small town amid some of the friendliest people on earth and a taste of good island cooking. The beach, while breathtakingly beautiful is also typically a little coral-strewn, so waterproof sandals or ”beach booties” are handy, but if you forget to pack them, the Inn has an array of beach shoes, snorkeling equipment and picnic gear available on loan for no fee. There is a down side to Turtle Nest Inn and we suffer through it each year. It’s leaving there to come home.
